38 Point Margin Shows Resilient Mavericks Determination

Mavs Force Game 5 with Stunning Game 4 Rout of Celtics

38-Point Margin Shows Resilient Mavericks' Determination

In a stunning turn of events, the Dallas Mavericks crushed the Boston Celtics 122-84 in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, forcing a Game 5 at home. The 38-point margin was the third-largest ever in an NBA Finals game, behind only Chicago's 96-54 victory over Utah in 1998 and the Celtics' own 133-70 triumph over Phoenix in 2008.

Luka's Leadership and Team Effort Drive Mavericks' Success

Luka Doncic led the charge for the Mavericks, scoring a game-high 25 points in the first half alone. However, in a departure from recent games, Doncic received ample support from his teammates. Spencer Dinwiddie added 21 points while Reggie Bullock and Maxi Kleber contributed 19 and 11 points, respectively.

Celtics Struggle with Mavs' Defensive Pressure

The Celtics, who had dominated the series until this point, struggled to keep up with the Mavericks' relentless defensive pressure. Boston's stars, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, were held to just 21 and 16 points, respectively, while the team shot a dismal 35.8% from the field.

Mavs Trail 3-1, but Hope Remains

Despite the victory, the Mavericks still trail the series 3-1. No team has ever come back to win an NBA playoff series after losing the first three games (0-156). However, the Game 4 win has given the Mavericks a glimmer of hope as they return home for Game 5.
