How to Remove Gel Polish at Home: A Quick and Easy Guide

Materials You'll Need:

* Acetone or non-acetone nail polish remover * Cotton balls or acetone-soaked pads * Aluminum foil * Cuticle pusher or orange stick * Nail buffer * Moisturizer * Cuticle oil

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Using Acetone:

1. File the surface of your nails lightly to remove the top layer of gel polish. 2. Soak cotton balls or pads in pure acetone. 3. Place the soaked cotton balls onto your nails. 4. Wrap each nail tightly with aluminum foil. 5. Wait for 10-15 minutes. 6. Using a cuticle pusher or orange stick, gently lift and remove the softened gel polish. 7. Repeat if necessary.

Using Non-Acetone Remover:

1. File the surface of your nails lightly. 2. Apply a generous amount of non-acetone nail polish remover to each nail. 3. Wrap each nail in aluminum foil. 4. Wait for 15-30 minutes. 5. Using a cuticle pusher or orange stick, scrape off the softened gel polish. 6. Repeat if necessary.

Without Acetone:

1. Soak your nails in warm water for 15-20 minutes. 2. Using a cuticle pusher, gently push back the softened gel polish. 3. Buff the surface of your nails to remove the loosened gel polish. 4. Moisturize your nails and cuticles. 5. Repeat as needed.

Tips:

* Avoid using acetone on dry or weak nails. * Protect your skin by wearing gloves when using acetone. * If you experience any irritation or discomfort, stop using acetone and consult a nail technician. * Moisturize your nails and cuticles after removing gel polish to prevent dryness and damage.
